Wearable but I don't love it

The color was very beautiful and it's well-made, but since sizing is based on the chest measurement I could only button it around my chest and not around my stomach, which means I could use it as a layering piece, but when I try to wear it as my shirt it rides up and bunches around the shoulders. It could be my fault for not ordering a different size.
The shirt is a light teal and dark teal vertical stripe in a cotton fabric that has just a little bit of stretch, and it has a spacious breast pocket
